The journey
Madurai has its own airport, but the schedules from the Gulf and Singapore land far more conveniently at Trichy — which is why this is one of our busiest intercity runs. The road is four-lane most of the way and the drive is genuinely restful. We time departures around the temple's evening ceremony where guests want to see it; leaving Trichy by 15:00 usually makes it.
